Being a lady member for almost a year, i have found poor customer service a big issue, when i reported a 60 years old transport professional who kept sending me messages, nothing was done to prevent this or help me out, i reported him ,i blocked him but he still kept sending me messages. finally i deleted my account and created another one, he again started the same thing and blocking/reporting him didnt work at all again.
apart from this i have heard and read in many places that singlemuslim suspended accounts when ever they wished with no logical reason or warning.
Just a few hours after i reported and sent a complain against the same 60 years old man, my account was suspended for no logical reason and with out a warning too!.. on asking a guy from SM wrote back after days saying, i was "persistently uploading an unsuitable primary image" (but the same profile picture i am using on shaadi.com and qira.com it is a clear and decent pic) but He said "picture should be similar to a passport picture" and with no warning vola He suspended my account! is this really a good enough reason to not warn me about "suspending" my account and just take me off the website? now to re activate my account He asked me to accept this and he wrote "If you agree to this i will reinstate your profile. Please reply!"
i was surprised but replied back saying "oh ok. i didnt know that.. yea sure i upload another pic. thanks"
but now its been days and no reply nor is my account re activated.. the 60 year old guy i reported is still on the site (i had to check) so now this is not fair that a single person from SM is holding back my account for what ever being the real reason seems very unprofessional. i did accpet my fault but my account is not given back to me? now am i supposed to beg?
i will advise people "please do not upload many pics or write too much delatils if you care about your privacy" since you can lose your profile anytime, anytime you can be suspended as and when the admin wishes to. men who bother you can not be reported, singlemuslim is not strict about the kind of men registered on it, Anyone can have a singlemuslim account and lie to you. there are fake profiles, there are people looking for just dating, there are people who are married yet present them self as single. please be safe and wise when using such a site for the purpose of marriage as SM dont do a back check. and to the men i advise it is not logical to waste a huge amount on membership if the site can suspend your account anytime, there are many guys who have lost their money and their account, please be wise and ask singlemuslim to be more fair in their dealings or dont deal with them if you or your friends have faced similar issues. All the hype about singlemuslim and the praise about it comes only from advertisement and fake reviews, pls spend your money and time wisely. dont fall for fakes reviews of unknown people writing they got married through singlemuslim, i have by far personally not found a single success story, dont fall of advertisement, that money can be spent in better ways. however if you want to kill time, it is a different story.Good Luck
In summary, I would not recommend Single Muslim to a friend.
