The tried and tested Cupid Media Network setup ensures that creating a profile with Muslima.com is extremely easy and allows users to customize their profile from the very start. Users can add up to five high resolution images to their profile, along with filling in the detailed membership questionnaire which forms the basis of every user's profile. To complete a full, detailed profile would, by our estimations, take around half an hour, but those users who are eager to get surfing around the site to check out what is on offer can complete a basic profile in around five minutes and return at any time to complete additional sections. We very much like the customizability of the profiles on Muslima.com, a feature that is very much a trademark of the quality service provided by Cupid Media websites. The one downside to Muslima.com, in terms of the user profiles that are available on the site, is that users can only upload 5 images to their profiles (whereas on many other sites the number that premium members can upload is unlimited). Whilst for most users, five images will probably be enough, we felt that for around $120 a year, some users may wish to upload more than five images! It's a minor grumble though, and all in all, the profile building tools on Muslima.com match up to the standard expected of all Cupid Media sites. As well as great profile building tools, Muslima.com offers a great range of ways of communication in order to build a lasting relationship. In the first instance, users have access to an excellent in-site email service, which allows them to contact any other site member by searching them in the site directory. Users can enhance their messages by adding smilies, photos and video clips to their mail, to make their communications a little more exciting. As well as the internal mail service, users can also use a fantastic online instant messaging service, allowing them to chat real-time with other users. This feature is extremely well designed, allowing users to juggle conversations with more than one user at once, as well as see a 'mini-profile' for the user you're chatting to. During the research phase for this review, we were also able to see just how popular the feature is with site users, with hundreds of members online and waiting to chat during peak-times. Users can also send 'interests' to other users, to let them know that they would like to chat to them and find out more about them. To chat more generally with members of the site, about a range of topics, users can get involved with discussions on the site's popular chatrooms. These are also extremely busy, and offer users a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and get involved with the site's online community. Many users find that the chatrooms offer a 'no pressure' way of getting to know other members of the site, and many of the site's success stories tell of members meeting each other over a mutual interest expressed in a chatroom. If you would like to get to know another member a little better, you can also chat with them using the Muslima.com video mail service, which allows users to record a personalized message and send it, through the internal mail service, to another user. We were extremely impressed by the quality of this service, as well as how easy it was to use, and felt it was a great way for users to get to know each other properly before meeting outside of the digital world. The fact that users can also record a video section to add to their profile is another fantastic feature, and allows them to make their profiles stand out from the crowd. Great stuff! With Muslima.com, however, this host of communicative features is not the end of the benefits you get from subscription membership. Users have access to the obligatory search feature which is customizable to take into account more than 15 different search functions in order to return the best, most focused results. Users can also filter their search results to limit results to particular geographical locations or religious beliefs, meaning that it's even easier to find the perfect partner. As Muslima.com is just as much a community online as a dating site, users also have access to a range of community features such as news articles, an online magazine, forums and more, so that they quickly feel part of the Muslima.com community. Users can also make use of the fantastic 'personality test' feature, which allows them to take a brief personality test and post the results online as part of their profiles. Users can further utilize this information by using the 'Matching Service' which automatically suggests potential matches on the basis of mutually corresponding personality test results. Whilst this function won't work for everyone (after all, opposites do attract!), the service can certainly provide some interesting potential matches and has been useful in the past.
